The following committees guide the Board in its decision-making, and address particular needs and issues within the Society and unconventional gas industry. All committees are manned by member volunteers. CSUG members who would like to volunteer for a committee should contact the committee chair. Back to topExecutive Committee The Executive Committee oversees the administration and operations of CSUG, and responds to issues (on behalf of the Board) which may arise between Board meetings, and which may require immediate attention. Back to topRegulatory Committee The Regulatory Committee acts as an interface between CSUG and various government and regulatory agencies, to further their understanding of unconventional gas resources. As a result, CSUG is being recognized and consulted by regulatory agencies and stakeholder groups in Canada. Chair Back to topInformation and Awareness Committee The Information and Awareness Committee’s mission is to enhance awareness among members, Industry, and the public about unconventional gas issues, by fostering education and training, and by facilitating interaction between unconventional gas stakeholders.
